What if Saturday, instead of being an ordinary day off, turns into a creative day for a little scientist, inventor, architect, or explorer?
The Saturday program of Montessori Universe, an international authorized kindergarten, combines Montessori-based hands-on learning, STEAM projects, a creative workshop, scientific experiments, and tasks based on real-life challenges.
Here, children learn through discovery, practice, and personal experience. They will ask questions, find answers on their own, test ideas, and turn thoughts into real results.
• Period: Every Saturday, from November 21 to December 26;
• For children aged 3-5: Saturday, 10:00 to 12:45;
• For children aged 5-7: Saturday, 14:00 to 16:30;
• Cost: 450 GEL;
• Registration fee: 50 GEL (non-refundable).
Note: The registration fee will be deducted from the total amount. The remaining 400 GEL must be paid upon the start of the course.
The Montessori Universe Saturday Kindergarten includes six directions:
1. Life Lab
• Content: The child learns skills needed in daily life: organizing tasks, taking care of personal belongings, completing simple tasks independently, and managing time and resources.
• Result: Greater independence, responsibility, and self-confidence.
2. Little Scientists
• Content: Why do some objects float while others sink? How are shadows formed? What changes the state of water? Is it possible to test one's own hypothesis? Children will conduct safe experiments, observe phenomena, form hypotheses, and discover cause-and-effect relationships on their own.
• Result: Curiosity, observation, research, and critical thinking.
3. Inventors' Studio & World Explorers
• Content: How do people live in different parts of the world? What are their homes, traditions, food, and environment like? Why does nature differ in different countries? Children will explore the world using maps, visual materials, models, games, and creative projects. They will create their own constructions, invent objects, build bridges and towers, test their durability, and then improve their models themselves. Here, an idea will not remain just an idea – it will take real shape.
• Result: Engineering mindset, problem-solving, and resilience in overcoming difficulties; broadening horizons, observation, interest in cultures, and a better understanding of the world.
4. Math in Action
• Content: Math is not just about numbers and exercises. Through play and practical tasks, children will learn measurement, shapes, quantity, sequence, and logic. They will plan, count, compare, and find different ways to solve problems.
• Result: Development of mathematical thinking.
5. Words & Stories
• Content: Creating stories, playing with words, riddles, role-playing, continuing a story, and short presentations help children express their thoughts. Children will learn not only to speak, but also to listen, ask questions, and share their ideas with others.
• Result: Enriched vocabulary, improvement of speech, communication, and self-expression skills.
6. Art & Makers' Space; Music & Movement
• Content: Drawing, sculpting, collage, working with recycled materials, and handicrafts (artists will also be invited for masterclasses). Children will conduct experiments with materials and forms, create their own works, and learn that a single idea can be realized in many ways. Musical games, rhythmic improvisation, body movement, coordination exercises, and storytelling through movement.
• Result: Development of creative thinking and fine motor skills, cultivation of patience, and the opportunity to realize one's own ideas; body control, sense of rhythm, coordination, and emotional self-expression.
