Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the Montessori approach to early childhood education means giving your child freedom and supporting their unique, individual development. Children learn to think independently and develop creative ideas.

Learning through play – The Montessori method does not offer boring, monotonous lessons but instead creates an active, engaging environment where children learn with joy;
Preparation for life – Children not only acquire academic knowledge but also develop life skills such as responsibility, self-discipline, teamwork, and independent decision-making.

The goal of a Montessori kindergarten is to help children become independent, self-motivated, and capable of learning based on their interests. In contrast, traditional kindergartens typically rely more on teacher-led instruction.

In a traditional setting, children follow a curriculum set by the teacher, while in a Montessori environment, they have the freedom to choose activities and work at their own pace.

Montessori classrooms also bring together children of different ages (e.g., 3 to 6 years old), encouraging older children to assist younger ones and develop their social skills.

One of the key features of Montessori is the freedom of movement – children can move freely around the classroom and choose spaces that are comfortable for them to work. Traditional kindergartens, on the other hand, often have a rigid schedule where children sit in one place for extended periods.

Montessori Universe is located in the vicinity of Lisi Lake. It is built following international standards, and its infrastructure is fully aligned with child development needs and safety regulations.

The kindergarten’s classrooms are divided into specific zones, which ensure an orderly learning process and support the child's ability to act independently.

Child-centered design – The building features spacious, bright, and cozy rooms that allow children to move freely;
Open spaces and natural light – Large glass windows allow abundant daylight to enter, promoting focus and a sense of calm;
Low furniture and accessible materials – The wooden furniture is made from eco-friendly materials. To encourage independence, all items are placed within easy reach of the children, allowing them to choose and use materials freely.

Montessori wooden toys are entirely safe for children and made from natural, eco-friendly materials.

• In the Montessori approach, a toy is not just for entertainment – it is a tool for development. Each carefully selected item supports the child’s growth in motor skills, logical thinking, and creativity;
• The use of wood, textiles, and other natural elements enhances sensory experiences and helps promote focus and concentration.

The kindergarten is equipped with:

• Video surveillance (excluding classrooms);
• Continuous supervision by teachers;
• Emergency preparedness (including a fire extinguishing system and first aid provisions).

The nutrition in kindergarten is balanced and healthy. For children with special dietary needs (such as allergies, vegetarian preferences, or religious restrictions), an individualized menu can be provided.

The child adapts to the kindergarten environment gradually. During the first few days, the parent can stay with them, and as the child becomes more accustomed, this time is progressively reduced.

Children learn:

• How to interact with peers;
• How to express and manage their emotions;
• How to follow social norms and rules.
